Privacypolicy

Backbench is published by RealHat Apps. This policy explains what data the app handles. Questions: support@realhatapps.com

• No account, no sign-in, and no personal information collected by us.
• Your progress, stars, wins, theme and settings are stored only on your device.
• The only data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob collects to show ads.

The app saves your game progress, stars, wins, chosen theme and settings (such as sound and haptics) in local storage on your device only.

None of it is uploaded to us, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. Backbench shows a banner, an interstitial ad between games, and an optional rewarded "Second chance" video that you choose to watch.

To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect device identifiers (the Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA), IP address, approximate location and ad interaction data.

Google's policies explain this in full: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Consent: if you are in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or a US state with privacy laws, you are shown Google's consent form the first time you play. You can change your choice anytime in Settings → "Privacy and ads".
• iOS: the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, ads are non-personalised.
• Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google or Privacy settings.

There are no in-app purchases, no analytics SDK, and we do not sell your data.

Backbench is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

The background classroom sound is bundled inside the app. The app does not use your microphone or camera.

Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. Effective date: 1 October 2026.
